Gorell’s varied experience in public service and commitment to the County of Ventura provides the voice we need to keep our community safe.


The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (VCDSA) Board of Directors is endorsing Jeff Gorell for Ventura County Supervisor District 2.

Gorell has deep roots in Ventura County but also brings the valuable knowledge that comes from his wide variety of public service over many years. His experience includes military leadership, time as a prosecutor in Ventura County, State Assembly, and Los Angeles Deputy Mayor. We look forward to Gorell bringing the knowledge and experience he gained from these assignments to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors where he can continue policies that will keep our community a safe place to live and raise a family. Our colleagues in Los Angeles advised that he continually demonstrated a commitment to public safety during his tenure there, and he has committed to continuing that work here.

The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (VCDSA) is the recognized bargaining unit for approximately 775 sworn peace officers in Ventura County.
