Ventura County Peace Officer Memorial – May 21, 2026

May 14, 2026 by Kasey Sirody

The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association invites our members, families, and the community to join us for the Ventura County Peace Officer Memorial on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ventura County Government Center Memorial Wall.

Each year, this memorial is held to honor and remember Ventura County law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. It is a time to pause, reflect, and ensure that their service, courage, and sacrifice are never forgotten. The memorial also recognizes the families, friends, and coworkers whose lives were forever changed by this loss and reminds us of the true cost of service.

The Peace Officer Memorial is an annual tradition that brings together law enforcement agencies, elected officials, survivors, and community members in a shared commitment to remembrance and respect. By gathering each year, we reaffirm our responsibility to honor those who came before us and to carry forward their legacy of service.

This meaningful ceremony is organized and hosted by the Peace Officers Association of Ventura County (POAVC), and we sincerely thank POAVC for their continued dedication to preserving the memory of our fallen heroes and for their work in coordinating this important event on behalf of all Ventura County law enforcement.

A reception immediately following the ceremony will be held at the VCDSA, and all attendees are warmly invited to join us.

We encourage all members and supporters to attend and stand together in remembrance, gratitude, and solidarity.
